Understanding hGH

You can read about growth hormones for years and still not understand them.  This is what the manufactures want and have achieved.   This article will simplify hGH so you know longer waste time and money taking something you may not need, and worst of all taking something that may not work.

Growth Hormones

Growth hormone (GH) is a protein-based poly-peptide hormone. It stimulates growth and cell reproduction and regeneration in humans and other animals. It is a 191-amino acid, single-chain polypeptide hormone that is synthesized, stored, and secreted by the somatotroph cells within the lateral wings of the anterior pituitary gland. Somatotropin refers to the growth hormone produced natively and naturally in animals, whereas the term somatropin refers to growth hormone produced by recombinant DNA technology, and is abbreviated “rhGH” in humans.

Growth hormone is used clinically to treat children’s growth disorders and adult growth hormone deficiency. In recent years, replacement therapies with human growth hormones (hGH) have become popular in the battle against aging and weight management. Reported effects on GH deficient patients (but not on healthy people) include decreased body fat, increased muscle mass, increased bone density, increased energy levels, improved skin tone and texture, increased sexual function and improved immune system function. At this time hGH is still considered a very complex hormone and many of its functions are still unknown.

Do they really work

There are many different types of Human Growth Hormone.

• The type you inject which is expensive, works for about 65% of hGH users and requires a prescription. Most of the negative information comes from this form.
• Herbal based formulas work for about 35% of hGH users.
• Nutritional based formulas work for about 25% of hGH users.
• Homeopathic based formulas work for about 15% of hGH users and known as the safest.
• Glandular based formulas work for 15% of hGH users.
• Amino Acid based formulas work for 45% of hGH users.
• Amphiregulin recombinant based, also known as AREG, a protein which in humans is encoded by the AREG gene.  This works for 65% of hGH users and is the closest to the type you inject.

Any other type of hGH that you may have come across has absolutely no research and will not be mentioned in this article.

Will hGH work for me?

Natural hGH products work for about 85% of people over the age of 30 if they fit into the following criteria.

• You feel or look older than your age.
• Your IGF-1 test is showing lower than normal levels.
• You have at least half of the symptoms hGH product claims to reverse or improve.
• Neurological problems run in your family.
• Unusual Stunted growth in a preteen.
• Loss of Muscle mass.
• Loss of Skin elasticity.
• Severe physical, mental or emotional trauma.

How to choose an hGH formula

Let’s start out with the form you inject into your blood.  This type of hGH should not be a choice if you fit into the following category:

• Under the age of 70 with any serious health disorders.
• If you have or had any serious health disorders in your life.
• If you have be described to have an autoimmune disorder.
• If there is a family history of serious diseases.

It is best to avoid the form you inject unless you are above the age of 70 and your quality of life is not worth living.  This form is very expensive and is required to be a long term treatment, possibly a lifetime.

What we know

That you have to chose the correct hGH product.  It must be taken properly and at the correct time of the day.  That many hGH products do not work.  The best way to produce IGF-1 is by getting a great night sleep without the use of sleeping drugs.  A Healthy Anterior Pituitary gland is very important.  Lifestyle, diet and stress can use up your naturally occurring hGH.  It is always best to use an hGH product that stimulates your own IGF-1.  By doing this you are training your body in correcting the problem which should allow you to need hGH products as needed.  Finally when we are not sure what we are doing, just say no.

During the past 15 years we have researched well over 100 hGH products.  The hGH products that were recorded with the most results over a short and long term period all had a mixture of amino acids, herbs, nutrition and a specific delivery system based in a polymer matrix calcium, sodium ions, herbal mineral structure.  The other more simple forms were hGH formulas containing naturally derived, biologically active GH (growth hormone) again in a special polymer matrix, which allows it to be absorbed directly into the cells of the oral mucosa, avoiding inactivation in the digestive process. These natural supplements also contain trace amounts of calcium, metasilicate and sodium in an herbal-mineral liquid base.   So you can see the delivery systems are just as important as the formulas themselves.

We further studied that it is important to rotate hGH products every 3 months or less.  Some patients found even more results rotating products every other week.  There are many other ways to increase the results of hGH products which we will be discussing in our next News Letter.

How long do they take to work

Most quality hGH product if taken properly will reveal some results between 10 and 45 days. What determine this is where the levels of your IGF-1 are when you start taking the formula. What also determine this is your lifestyle, diet, stress levels and taking the product properly.

How to determine if your product is working

Blood work may not be the best way to determine if you product is working.  Blood work only shows a snapshot of what is in your blood at the moment they drew your blood.  IGF-1 can store in the body outside of the blood and can be released on demand in necessary situations.

The formula:

There are 3 categories of ingredients – HGH Stimulators – Growth Factor Complexes – The Delivery system.  Most often the manufacture will not list or show how the delivery system works.  This is the most important part of the formula for targeting the ingredients into the system.

Ingredients:

Ornithine Alpha Ketoglutarate (OAK): It has anabolic effects and improves athletic performance, it has wound healing effects & is immuno-enhancing.  It assists in the hgh releasers.

L – Glutamine FCC: It helps the hgh releaser in metabolism, it improves the athletic performance, boosts the immune system, it is a source for stomach and intestine lining.  This is also in the natural hgh releaser

L – Arginine Alpha Ketoglutaurate (AKK): increase strength, stamina, and vigor and speed your muscle growth and recovery.  Nitric Oxide one of the ingredients produced by AKK is the key molecule used by your body to transport oxygen, increase blood flow and deliver nutrients to skeletal muscle.

L – Valine: It is burned for fuel in the cells to promote muscle recovery. It plays a role in wound healing and the growth of new tissue. It is needed to increase the bio-availability of complex carbohydrate intake and is absorbed by the muscle cells for anabolic muscle building activity.  This is a critical piece of the hgh releaser spray.

L- Isoleucine: In synergy with l-valine it is burned for fuel in the cells to promote muscle recovery. It plays a role in wound healing and the growth of new tissue. Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia): Longjack studies have shown it to stimulate the production of endogenous testosterone and to reduce the levels of bound and metabolically inactive testosterone in the body.  It is believed to achieve this feat through the Leutinizing Hormone (LH) pathway. Consequently, users of Longjack commonly report an association between Longjack administration and increased feelings of well-being, improved mental focus, and improved immune system function and reductions in body-fat.

Mucuna pruriens: This plant is used in herbalism against a range of conditions, such as urinary tract, neurological and menstruation disorders, constipation, edema, fevers, tuberculosis, ulcers, Parkinson’s disease and helminthiases like elephantiasis. Velvet Bean (M. pruriens) is one of the most important sources of L-dopa, a common component of nootropics (“smart drugs”); it also contains serotonin, 5-HTP, and other neuro-chemical compounds.

Deer Antler (Velvet): Deer Antler Velvet Improves Immune system function, athletic performance and strength, muscle recovery after exercise, negative effects of stress, enhances sexual function for men and women, rapid recovery from illness, has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties and is the natural source of growth factors IGF-1 and IGF-2.

Alpha GPC: (Alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine) It increases human growth hormone secretion and helps to overcome cognitive disorders. This is an important piece of the hgh releaser spray.  Alpha GPC is most likely one of the most important ingredients in hGH formulas.

L-Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine (Alpha GPC, choline alfoscerate) is a natural choline compound found in the brain and in milk. It is also a parasympathomimetic acetylcholine precursor which may have potential for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and is used as a nootropic dietary supplement to enhance memory and cognition.

Alpha GPC rapidly delivers choline to the brain across the blood-brain barrier and is a biosynthetic precursor of the acetylcholine neurotransmitter.  Alpha GPC is derived from highly purified soy lecithin.
Studies have investigated its efficacy for cognitive disorders including stroke and Alzheimer’s Disease.  An Italian multicentre clinical trial on 2,044 patients suffering from recent stroke was supplied alpha-GPC in doses of 1,000 mg/day for 28 days and 400 mg/day for five ensuing months. The trial confirmed the therapeutic role of alpha-GPC on the cognitive recovery of patients based on four measurement scales, three of which reached statistical significance.

Naturally derived, biologically active GH (growth hormone): is different than all the rest which is recombinant DNA synthesized from biologically active GH.  This may be considered closet to the form you inject that requires a prescription.  This form may be effective only in a spray form and in an age group between 30 and 60 years old.

Many patients of ours have used all the ingredients above found in 2 different formulas in a daily rotation.

The formula with many ingredients was used before activities, sports, workouts, walking and before meals, where the biologically active one was used upon rising and at bed.

With today’s knowledge, anything else added will just cost more money without results.

Most ingredients are manufactured in many grades:

Pharmaceutical grade: This is the highest grade available and the only grade that should be used for human consumption.  This is considered USP grade.

Technical grade: which may or may not meet USP grade standards, is sold for use in industrial applications; e.g., as an agent in metal complexing and finishing. Technical grade is typically sold at a discount to USP grade.

Food Grade: Standards set for human consumption which is very low in the US.  Canadian food standards are almost equal to our pharmaceutical grade standards.

Feed Grade: This is animal grade standards and is often found being used for human consumption.

Even when the product has all the right ingredients it will not work well without the proper delivery systems. It is not recommended to take any of these ingredients separately for the purpose of increasing hGH.  The increase of hGH comes from a balance of these ingredients.  One of the delivery systems is delivered through Nanospray technology.

The Negative side of hGH

Anytime you hear something negative about any product, substance or industry, it is most important to find out who is doing the talking.  Not always, but most of the time there is a competitive reason for this negative talk or they are not comparing apples to apples which is most often the case and well known.

Most of the negative talk about hGH came from 5 sources. This also goes for most products on the market.

• The real chemical based hGH that you inject and takes a prescription.  Without a doubt there should be some warnings placed on this type of hGH.  It is a drug, you do inject it in the blood, it takes away from your own production of IGF-1 and it is very strong.  It is also way over priced with a 1000 percent mark-up.  Age and quality of life should be considered before use.

• Naturally derived, recombinant DNA synthesized, biologically active GH is another product that will cause friction in the health world.  It competes close to the controlled prescription hGH at cost of almost 95 percent less.  It is not a prescription and anyone can sell it.  No one wants the competition to sell an almost equal product at a cost of almost 95% percent less.

• The health industry is the most politically controlled business in the world.  If there is a product that can improve or restore health it will be removed from the market. Many of you would disagree with that last statement, but would fully agree if we discussed this subject in more depth. Some would also believe I’m referring to a conspiracy.  Not at all, it’s nothing more than conducting business as business which comes from fear, greed and the want to control.

• There’s the other side of negative talk that comes from improperly testing, diagnosing, researching, analyzing, your goal, purpose and outcome.  There is not a single product, substance, business, chemical, natural product, pair of clothing, furniture, car or anything you can think of that cannot be made to look like the most negative, harmful idea possible.  A controlled study has only one goal in mind and that is to prove whatever it is set out to prove whether good or bad.  As we have seen in the media over the past 10 years, science decides the outcome way before the study has ever begun.

• The most common negative talk you will hear comes simply from the competition.  Our product is better than your product.  This starts at childhood and continues until you are out of the rat race.  As an adult this also comes from fear, greed and the want to control.

In this world we are not actually deciding what is always good for us, but what works for us and every positive has a negative.  It up to each individual to decide the Pro’s and Con’s on each decision and if the balance leans more towards the positive then go with it.  The common rule in making a health decision is the 80/20 rule.  It must be 80% positive and 20% something else. Unbiased research which is difficult to find is the only way to figure out what is right for you.

As they say on the drug commercials, “It only takes a simple blood test to check for liver problems”.  The truth is there are simple blood tests, but NO simple blood test that will check for liver problems and that’s a scientific fact.  To prove my statement is true, there is a complicated liver test called a Cytochrome P450 24 hour urine which is the only test that will let you know the health of your liver.   Try asking for it and see what happens.
