1. take pills (homeopathic's, supplements, herbs) as directed, i.e. with or without food and at the right times of day;

More than 60 percent of the patients we counsel do not comply with all of these directions. Then, they are frustrated that the treatment does not work. We're not here to take your money and run; we are here to help you heal. We can't do so without full participation on your part.

A Warning

This list might seem daunting to you. You may feel tempted to use whatever information you can get on the Internet or in books to pick and choose natural remedies on your own. There are two major problems with this approach:

1. About 97 percent of the health information on the Internet is unreliable. Most of it is there to sell a product; a good deal of it is simply copied from other Web sites, with no information from actual research to support its veracity.
2. Without a comprehensive understanding of how your body works and how natural therapies (supplements, herbs, homeopathic's) work, and without the up-to-date research that we make it our business to stay on top of, you are likely to create a program that, in the end, promotes imbalance and causes further problems. For example: if you take high doses of folic acid—a vitamin that is vital for good health—you actually block the absorption of vitamin B12. These two nutrients are meant to be in a specific balance, and if you disrupt that balance with 400 or 800 micrograms of folic acid a day, it is possible that you will end up with a clinical B12 deficiency. This can manifest itself as nerve damage, muscle weakening, depression, absentmindedness, failing memory (levels of this vitamin are often low in Alzheimer's patients), fatigue, or anemia. Recent research showing that high doses of vitamin E or C may be harmful confirms this; antioxidant nutrients like these can actually become pro-oxidants if they are taken individually in high doses rather than in a complementary way. We have found that supplement plans need to be altered periodically to ensure that no imbalances are created.

• The history of your disease . Every disease has a history. It is our job to discover this history in order to completely understand your condition.
• The mechanism of your disease . You will be given a complete understanding of your condition: what we know about causes, and what actually happens within the body in people who have this condition.
• The relationship of your disease to parts of the body not directly affected . This is where the whole concept of “disease as faulty communications” comes in. Any disease process has ramifications throughout the body, and we will describe these to you as part of your consultation.
• The most up - to-date information on research from around the world on both Western and Eastern medical treatments for your condition.
• All of your treatment options.
• Advice on how and when to follow up our recommendations with Western treatments. Newly available mainstream treatments may be hard to get, but they may offer better chances for symptom relief or cure than integrative medicine for some conditions. The average new medical treatment takes about two years to reach all physicians. If there are new, groundbreaking, and promising treatments available for your condition, we will tell you about them—whether they are Western, Eastern, integrative, or somewhere in between.
• The reality about what dis-ease really is.
• We have been taught that most or all diseases are contracted, caught from other individual or reaction to some chemicals. As you learn more about viruses, bacteria, fungus, parasites, toxins, heavy metals etc., you will be surprised how unreliable that information was and how the researchers have changed their theories. Psoriasis is viewed as a very difficult condition to eliminate or control when in reality it is very simple to deal with. Remember the human body works off communication starting at the top of the brain and ending at the base of the spine. It is easy to believe that science is real, but if that was true then why is every known scientific theory been changed hundreds of times. I see clients suffering with health conditions that are not difficult to resolve. When traditional approaches fail, are not an option, or seem unsafe, people turn to Integrative medicine for answers. More often then not they find answer to their request.

We prefer to use E-mail correspondence to prevent product and direction errors in our recommendations. Western treatments will only be involved in the protocols if they are effective and safe.

It will take 24 to 72 hours for us to respond to your Health Assessment. If we decide, based on your answers, that your condition would be better handled by a medical doctor or a practitioner outside of our circle of experts, we will refer you. Your payment will be refunded; the referral service remains a free service. We have one of the most elaborate reliable referral services for anywhere in the world.

In store consultations are also at no charge but in most cases may not be as complete as the consultations listed above. In store consultations are limited by time, usually 20 to 30 minutes. On line consultations allow us to research your requests without time restraints.
